These are 💯 cotton with zero stretch! They don’t fit curvy hips too well. I’m always a 29/8 with a 30” waist and 40” hip, and the chart said a large would work, but I couldn’t get them buttoned. I got the over my hips, and that was it. I sized up to a large but the waist is still snug and now the hips are too big and there is bunching in the crotch. These are standing shorts only! They don’t stretch throughout the day, either.
